The Church of God Historical Society will host a retreat and annual meeting August 7-9, 2015. The program will be held at Timber Rick Woods Retreat Center in Anderson.
The retreat agenda will focus on celebrating 15 years of organization, sharing of new research of the Historical Society, consideration of growth opportunities for the Society, and gather the over 300 active members of the Society for a time of networking.
There is no cost for the weekend. All meals and camping sites will be furnished for members. The schedule of events is: Friday, August 1-5 pm is arrival and check-in; 5:30 pm Hot Dog Roast; 7:00 pm Vesper Service and Fireside Conversations. Saturday, August 8, 7:30 am breakfast, 9:00 am Tour of The Barney Warren Cabin (at Anderson University), 10:30 am Conversations with Dale Stultz on “new finds,” 2:00 pm Society Business Meeting, 6:00 pm Evening Meal, 7:00 Heritage Hymn Sing and Farewell. Sunday, August 9, 8:00 am breakfast for those remaining along with a morning worship.
